Inclusiveness research

We help our clients to offer products and services to all potential customers. Not only young, abled people, but also older adults, disabled people, etc. Not only is this the right thing to do, it’ll also boost your business results.

What does inclusive research mean?

Inclusive research is often at the heart of inclusive design. According to Nielsen Norman, inclusive design describes methodologies to create products that understand and enable people of all backgrounds and abilities. Inclusive design may address accessibility, age, culture, economic situation, education, gender, geographic location, language, and ethnicity.

However, creating inclusive designs is difficult as you don’t know what you don’t know. It’s hard to imagine what the effects of age can be if you’ve grown up in the digital age or what truly is the impact of a disability on the use of a smartphone.

Designing inclusive products and services is vital for most businesses. Not only does it send the message that they care, it also enlarges their target audience, leading to a competitive advantage. For instance, did you know that by 2050, almost 25% of the Dutch population will be over 65 years old? That’s a target audience that is too large to ignore…

Why is inclusiveness important for you?

We understand it may seem like a big step to change all your designs to include all possible users. Therefore, we’ve come up with services. You could for instance listen to our talk about how Older Adults can improve your business results, or you could hire our Empathy Lab, to feel what it’s like to have certain disabilities.
